Mark Morris makes his contribution to this summer’s Stravinsky focus with the New York premiere of Renard. Morris’s newest work is paired with the elegiac, much-loved Socrates and the exceptional new Festival Dances in a program unusually broad in its musical and stylistic scope. And in a Mostly Mozart Festival first, the group will be accompanied by their very own MMDG Music Ensemble.
“The triumph was the final piece, Festival Dance…especially open, strong, intelligent, appealing.”
—New York Observer
“Simply beautiful...and sensuously attractive.”
—The New York Times on Socrates
